Who are we?
Incorporated in 2004, the Foundation for Orthopedic Trauma with the active assistance of its members works consistently towards fulfilling its mission. We directly educate through national courses, events, symposia, and forums. We support research with grants and we mentor through educational courses and humanitarian missions.
What do we do?
FOT is a chapter of the Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care Foundation (OTCF) which in addition to national opportunities affords our members international opportunities. FOT runs three dissection approach courses per year as well as an annual trauma symposium. Additionally, the FOT holds update meetings during AAOS and OTA Annual meetings. FOT offers Research grants on an annual cycle basis. FOT sponsors humanitarian mission trips annually.
Foundation Membership
The FOT encourages potential new members to apply for membership. New applicants must have an FOT member sponsor your application. Practice specialty must be in the field of orthopedic trauma. FOT member sponsor must submit a letter of recommendation on applicants behalf.
Legal Framework
The Foundation for Orthopedic Trauma is a US based IRC 501(c)(3) private foundation and is current with all tax filings.
Code of Conduct and Guidelines
The Articles of Incorporation serves as the code of conduct for the foundation and the bylaws serve as a guide for all our members.

Executive Board (EB)
The Executive Board consists of the FOT President, the Past President, and the Treasurer, as well as six FOT board members. The EB works closely with its members to establish a cohesive vision and strategy to achieve these visions.
