Educational Opportunities
Since the 2004 incorporation the FOT Education Committee has taught over 1000 orthopedic residents in training from all over the country. The FOT offers top quality courses and we continually receive excellent evaluations thanks to our active member faculty who volunteer their time to teach in a 1:3 ratio setting. For a detailed listing of upcoming educational events and courses, please refer to our events page.
Humanitarian
The Foundation for Orthopedic Trauma organized mission trips to Haiti from 2010-2020. Post pandemic we have assisted other 501(c) 3 organizations in creating a Friday morning Grand Rounds Series which has benefited the attendings and residents of Haiti as well as other international participants. Our relationship with the orthopedic surgeons of Haiti is ever evolving with a current member of FOT being from Haiti as well as Haitian residents given the opportunity to attend FOT educational courses. We continue to look to foster additional relationships and mission trips with other countries in need.
